We specialize in mid-to-large-scale commercial, industrial, institutional, and municipal construction projects. Our self-perform capabilities include site development, earthwork, underground utilities, structural concrete, commercial framing, drywall, insulation, acoustical ceilings, painting, and interior carpentry. Our project portfolio includes public infrastructure, private developments, schools, healthcare facilities, industrial campuses, multi-family construction, and commercial tenant improvements.

Can Mid Illinois coordinate multiple scopes under one contract?

Yes. One advantage of our expanding self-perform capabilities is the ability to streamline coordination across multiple trades, helping reduce schedule conflicts, improve accountability, and simplify communication for owners and general contractors.

Are you licensed, bonded, and compliant with all safety regulations?

Yes. We are fully licensed, bonded, and insured in all jurisdictions where we operate. We maintain OSHA 30-certified supervisors and enforce strict internal safety protocols in accordance with EMR and site-specific safety plans.

Do you work as a subcontractor or a prime contractor?

We regularly perform as both — depending on project structure. We're highly experienced working under general contractors as a trade partner, and we also take on prime contracts for site development or self-performed scopes.

What types of concrete flatwork do you perform?

We install high-performance commercial flatwork including slabs-on-grade, parking lots, loading docks, warehouse floors, sidewalks, and curb & gutter systems. We meet stringent FF/FL tolerance requirements when specified.

What foundation systems do you support?

We construct cast-in-place foundations including spread footings, grade beams, pile caps, and structural pads. We also build retaining walls and elevator pits to spec and coordinate closely with geotechnical and structural teams.

Do you provide engineered shoring or support during excavation?

Yes. We can install temporary shoring, formwork, and support systems as needed and collaborate with structural engineers to ensure compliance and safety during excavation and foundation work.

What earthwork services do you provide on commercial sites?

Our earthwork division handles mass grading, excavation, cut/fill balancing, compaction, building pads, and trenching. We utilize GPS-equipped machinery and 3D site modeling for precise execution.

Do you perform soil stabilization or import/export of material?

Yes, we offer lime/cement stabilization and coordinate import/export of material, including disposal of spoils or unsuitable soil in accordance with environmental regulations.

Do you install water mains and service lines?

Yes. We manage the installation of water mains, fire lines, hydrants, and service connections for commercial and municipal projects. While we do not hold a plumbing license ourselves, we subcontract licensed plumbers where required by code to ensure full compliance with local and state plumbing regulations.

Are you qualified to perform public water utility work without a plumbing license?

Yes. Our in-house crews self-perform excavation, trenching, pipe setting, and restoration. We partner with licensed plumbers for any connections or scopes that legally require a licensed professional, ensuring that all work is code-compliant and properly permitted.

What kind of commercial framing do you offer?

We perform structural wood and light-gauge metal framing for commercial buildings, multi-family housing, tenant buildouts, and institutional spaces. We coordinate with MEP trades for efficient integration.

Do you self-perform finish carpentry as well?

Yes. We offer casework installation, doors and hardware, millwork, baseboards, and other finish carpentry for commercial interiors — either bundled with framing or as a standalone scope.

Can you staff large-scale framing projects?

Absolutely. With a scalable in-house team and proven subcontractor partnerships, we can fully staff and sequence multi-story framing on aggressive schedules.

What delivery methods do you support?

We work within design-bid-build, design-build, and negotiated contracts. Our team integrates early in preconstruction to add value through phasing, budgeting, and constructability reviews.

Do you use project management software for coordination?

Yes. We use Procore, Bluebeam, and other construction management platforms to collaborate on RFIs, submittals, daily reporting, and schedule tracking. We also integrate with client systems as needed.

What types of commercial painting projects do you perform?

We provide complete commercial and industrial painting services including interior painting, exterior painting, tenant improvements, warehouses, offices, schools, retail spaces, healthcare facilities, and specialty coatings. We routinely work from architectural specifications, finish schedules, and submittal packages to ensure products, preparation methods, and application systems meet project requirements and manufacturer standards.

Yes. We install fire-rated and acoustical wall systems in accordance with project specifications, UL assemblies, and building code requirements for commercial, institutional, and multi-family projects. We work closely with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection trades to maintain schedule flow and minimize conflicts during rough-in and finishing stages.

What types of insulation systems do you install?

We install thermal and acoustical insulation systems for walls, ceilings, mechanical spaces, tenant separations, and roof assemblies in commercial and institutional facilities.

What types of acoustical ceiling systems do you install?

We install standard suspended ceiling systems, tegular ceilings, specialty acoustical panels, moisture-resistant systems, and custom commercial ceiling applications depending on project requirements. We coordinate closely with electrical, HVAC, fire protection, and other above-ceiling trades to ensure clean layouts, proper device alignment, and efficient installation sequencing.
